Tell me more about this show, ROMEO & JULIET.

ROCKIN' ROMEO & JULIET is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play using excerpts of the original text coupled with many different dramatic elements.  The first is song: the characters of Romeo, Juliet, Mercutio, and the Nurse all sing tunes with original words (not taken from Shakespeare's text). This all-original music ranges in style from modern rock to Medieval-style chorale music and songs with the influence of the Far East.

The choreography and acting styles for the cast is often in the fashion of Japanese kabuki theatre and Bunraku puppetry, using traditional swordsmanship and the martial arts.  These styles are combined with more Western forms of classical European drama such as ballet and mime to create a spellbinding evening at the theatre for a worldwide audience.

It is a fast-paced, bold, and youthful experience brimming with passion that is designed to appeal to the entire family.

The play has a running time of two hours twenty minutes.

OGGI will also be making a feature film version of the musical.
